Kitchenalia & Gin

coffee, jug, gin bottles canal art

Eclectic mix

teapots, jugs, coffee pots
Kitchenalia for sale on Pea Green

My hand painted kitchenalia and gin bottles have become very popular over the past couple of years. As a result the range of kitchen items I paint has expanded. Consequently, I, and my parents, are on a constant hunt for perfect pieces to upcycle. On the other hand I do buy some items brand new. These include clip top storage jars, wooden spoons and coasters. Alongside teapots and cafetieres I paint jugs, jars and utensil holders. In a similar vein I have also started to paint gin bottles. However, this does mean the gin has to be consumed first!

Tea and coffee

As each teapot or cafetiere has been individually sourced they are all unique. The result is an eclectic mix of shapes, sizes and colours on offer. Therefore my stock is constantly changing. I am happy to buy and paint brand new pieces. On the other hand if you have your own teapot of cafetiere you want painting do contact me. I handpaint each piece with hardwearing sign-writing enamels. However you should treat your teapot or cafetiere with love and gently wash in lukewarm water.

Teapot and cafetieres cost between £15-£25 depending on their size.

Finally, I am happy to paint tea and coffee mugs. I paint these to order. This ensures you have the mugs you like.

Storage and treats

I stock a range of storage items from vintage, stoneware, 7lb jam jars for use as a vase or utensil holder through to brand new clip-top glass jars. Additionally, many of the larger jugs I paint would also be ideal as utensil pots or vases. My treats jars were a new addition in 2019. They are perfect for either human or furry friend treats. Prices for storage items range from £9-£25. I

Baking and egg-cups

I like all my foodie paints to be usable. Consequently I don’t over-paint spoons and rolling pins. In other words, the stirring end of the spoon is left unpainted, as is the roller on the rolling pins. Egg cups are simply decorated with roses and are completely usable. Baking implements and egg cups cost between £3 – £10. See the gallery below for pictures.

Gin and coasters

Upcycled gin bottles – ‘Drink Me’ and ‘Elixir’

Many modern gin and spirit bottles have such a fabulous shape they are too good to simply throw into the recycle bin. Therefore, it seemed a good idea to paint them. My bottles have a range of wording. For instance, from a simple ‘gin’ to ‘elixir’ or how about a nod to Alice in Wonderland with ‘drink me’. Bottles cost £10 each.

A perfect accompaniment to for your drinks glass might be a slate coaster decorated with canal art roses. I sell these individually and they cost £3.50 each.

To order

To order my kitchenalia and gin bottles simply contact me via email, Facebook, or Instagram .  I usually respond within a couple of hours.  I prefer payment by BACS transfer. However, I can also accept PayPal. For most items second class postage is £3.50. Of course I am of course happy to combine postage.
