Canal art bits and bobs

Eclectic bits and bobs

My canal art now extends to a wide range of items. As a result, it is not always possible to share everything. This page will, I hope, show you some of the bits and bobs I regularly have in stock. It includes everything from small single rose slate hearts through to large galvanised buckets. I paint a range of decorative boxes in different shapes, colours and sizes. In addition you will find greetings cards, coasters, hanging planters, piggy banks, tealight lanterns and Christmas baubles – to name but a few. Prices range from £2.50 – £40, and as always I am happy to post. Finally, if you can’t find the canal art bits and bobs you are looking for just message me, you will find details of how to do this below.

Canal art slates – slogans and roses

Slate is a great surface to paint on and as a natural product no two slates are the same. I paint small 5cm slates with with a single rose. As a result, with their hanging string these small slate hearts are perfect as a small gift or decoration. Additionally, I also decorate larger slates with a swag of roses or a mini slogan, or on request can add a name. Finally, just a reminder, that I also paint slate coasters and sell these individually. Prices for slate items range from £2.50 – £10. More photos below in the gallery.

Canal art boxes for bits and bobs

Lovely boxes for bits and bobs

Boxes have been part of my painted range since the start. As a result, I now have a range of boxes in different colour schemes. For example, my small 9cm square boxes are very popular, with their metal corners and clasp they look very smart and shiny. Additionally, on larger boxes I am able to add more decoration, and on some have painted traditional canal art castles. Look in the gallery below for more photos of my boxes. Prices range from £10-£25.

Blank canal art cards & Christmas baubles

All of my cards are hand painted and come in a cellophane sleeve with an envelope. Some just have roses and daisies, others include mini slogans. Cards are £3.50 each and look great when framed!

In October I start painting Christmas tree baubles. I usually have some in stock throughout the year. Baubles are £2.50 each and have two roses painted on them. The baubles are plastic, just in case they are dropped or an over energetic cat hits the tree…

Planters and coal buckets

One of my most popular items are small hanging planters. These metal planters can be used for all sorts of purposes from pen holders to plants. Similarly, I also paint larger plastic barrel type planters. As a result I usually have both of these items in stock. Small planters and larger planters cost between £5-£8 each. See the gallery for photos.

Sometimes I come across special one off items. Recently this has included heavy-duty galvanised buckets. Perfect as a coal or kindling bucket they could also be used as a planter. This fabulous piece had to be sanded, primed, top-coated, decorated and varnished and costs £40. In the gallery you will also see photographs of coal bucket commissions. If you need a coal bucket let me know.

How to order

To find out about current stock contact me via email, Facebook or Instagram .  I usually respond within a couple of hours.  I prefer payment via BACS, but can also accept PayPal. Finally, postage costs vary but as a guide most smaller items fit into a small parcel and cost £3.50 second class.
